Who
can become a WYSIWYG Certified Service Provider?
- Potential CSPs own a
WYSIWYG Perform 2000 or higher and hardware interface(s) allowing four
ports of DMX input.
- Potential CSPs run WYSWIYG Perform 2000 on
a computer which meets the minimum requirements specified by Cast.
- Potential CSPs have access to consoles or
offline editors, printers/plotters, pipe tape printers, and any other
hardware and/or facilities deemed necessary to provide the determined
CSP services.
- Potential CSPs have a very good working
knowledge of WYSIWYG products.
- Potential CSPs must pass a WYSIWYG
qualification exam.
What
are the perks to being a CSP?
- DMX Camera software.
- DMX recording and playback software.
- Animated Renderings: dongle-protected
render farm technology which allows the use of multiple computers to
render one animation.
- Split-Frame Rendering: render WYSIWYG
Looks in a fraction of the time it would take on a single machine,
using the same render farm technology.
- Free updates to the technologies above for
CSPs in good standing.
- Third party software for creation of AVIs.
- Potential for high profile job referrals
from Cast.
- Official CSP certificate signed by Cast
Software.

Perform systems (2000 +) from Cast.
- Free advertising on Cast website.
- No saturation of market.
What
will it cost to become a CSP?
- Initial training fee @
$800 USD per person per day for two days.
- Annual, renewable license fee @ $3000 USD*
per year.
- CSPs owning multiple WYSIWYG systems will
receive a $500 USD annual discount off the license fee per additional
system. (Maximum discount is $1000 USD per year)
- Training will not be required at
time of renewal unless Cast Software determines that there
have been significant changes to the program to warrant such
re-training.
What
services could a CSP provide?
- CAD services including
hard-copy input and DWG/DXF import and export.
- Printing and/or plotting services up to
24”x36” / A0 and pipe tape printing.
- “WYG’ing” including hardware for DMX input
and AutoFocus for show pre-cueing.
- Rendering of static scenes and fully
directed animations.
How
will CSP training be delivered?
- Training will be conducted at Cast
Software’s office in Toronto or at any other location designated by
Cast. (ex. Europe or Asia)
- Training will last two days.
- The option of becoming a CSP will be
available upon successful completion of training and evaluation.
- Official CSP status and all related
software will be exchanged upon payment of the license fee.
- CSPs will be visited periodically by Cast
Software to verify equipment and to observe procedures.
**Those wishing to receive both CSP
and AWT certification will only be required to attend three days of
training and meet the CSP equipment requirements but must maintain both
CSP and AWT licenses. *The combined license fee is $5000 USD per year.
